Dr. Debra is a chiropractor, holistic health instructor, spiritual coach, and guided imagery specialist. She has continued her studies in the ancient arts of shamanism and spiritualism, as well as other metaphysical subjects, for the past 25 years. Her passion is to expand her healing and teaching practices in the spiritual realms, and she is committed to extending our awareness of intuition as part of our natural evolutionary process. Beth is a certified Physician Assistant who received her medical training at Duke University, and has been practicing medicine for 26 years. She has an equally long background in Yoga, Zen Meditation, and Martial Arts. In 2003, Beth participated in a training with world renowned stress specialist, Jon Kabat-Zinn, and brought the first Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program to the Coachella Valley. This has allowed her to combine her many years in western medicine with her passion for eastern healing arts, and sharing this with others. She teaches patients and staff at Eisenhower Hospital, Loma Linda, and offers programs for corporations and non-profit organizations. She speaks all over Southern California on Stress Physiology and how meditation can benefit health. See her Summer Retreat.

Carol has been a licensed Psychotherapist since 1985. In addition to therapy for Individuals, Couples, and Families, she leads Mid-life healing groups for women, Groups for Teen girls, The Right-to-Write group (helping people find their inner writer), and works with groups of men who have been abused as children. Carol also does Psychodrama and Improv workshops and has been the co-leader of Palm Springs TheatreSports with her husband since 1993.

Community activities include: Prevent Child Abuse of Riverside County, where she is chairperson of the "It Happens to Boys" project educating the public about men who were abused as boys (Website: ithappenstoboys.org , phone 760-862-kids), Student Assistance Program, Trauma Response Leader of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists of Coachella Valley.

Carol is also a conference speaker and workshop leader and has led workshops for: The Betty Ford Center Children's program, Nami, Prevent Child Abuse of Riverside County, Stan Little Conference, plus many others. She has recently launched into a new venture, Creative Change Conferences. The first conference held in March 2009, "Adults Healing from Child Abuse, it Happens to boys" was very successful. As a result of this conference, many men are now coming forward to talk about their abuse and get help.

The next conference will be "Black and White,”The Chrysalis of the Emerging Woman" A Healing Conference - featuring the poet David Whyte and recovery author and speaker, Claudia Black. A night with David Whyte will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009. The Women’s Healing Conference will be on October 24. Dr. Robert Haberkorn has 25 years of training, education and practical experience in Eastern & Western traditions.  Combining methods drawn from the medical and martial arts fields, he has developed a unique approach towards holistic healing.  Embracing a profound philosophical and spiritual awareness, Dr. Haberkorn seeks the practical: a tangible, day-to-day improvement in one's health and wellness. He currently teaches Medical Qigong and Tai Chi classes, and is the founding Director and President of Center of Motion.  In addition, Dr. Haberkorn has a thriving chiropractic business, Haberkorn Health Center.  

For more than twenty-five years, Marnell Farley has studied and practiced Hatha yoga, the school of yoga that emphasizes body-work and meditation. During this time, she has been most influenced by yoga masters Ana Forrest and B.K.S. Iyengar.  Marnell has continued developing her skills as a senior instructor at the Seattle Holistic Center, where she taught the popular workshop "Heal Your Back,” among others. Dr. Robert Edelburg, a practicing Chiropractor since 2000 with a doctorate from Western States Chiropractic College, has a very busy, referral based practice.  In addition, he has received degrees in CranioSacral Therapy,  Myofascial Release Therapy, LMT, and is a Reiki Master, Guided Imagery Practitioner and Guided Meditation Facilitator.

Palm Springs Healing Center is a collaboration of Edelburg Chiropractic and Palm Springs Acupuncture Center.  Robert and his partner in the Center, a gifted acupuncturist, Michael Boyer, L.A.c.,  also have a licensed esthetician, massage therapist, yoga instructor, meditation instructor and mat Pilates instructor.  All of the practitioners are amazing and highly competent.   It is their intention to create a space for all who want to participate in the process of further enlightenment and alignment of who they are in the world today.  Robert, above all, is really happy and has a big desire to learn and teach.

Jeff Wein is a multi-talented Gemini (Pisces rising, Libra moon), an adult child of the sixties whose explorations of consciousness led him to the ecstatic possibilities of physical intimacy. Jeff has studied Tantra with three of the best-known American masters, and has drawn on these and other sources to create the unique approach and content of « the Loving Spirit » workshop.  Jeff has lead personal growth workshops in three languages on four continents over the last fifteen years.

A childhood spent in beatnik circles and a nomadic existence in Europe, the United States, and the south Pacific, followed by art school (right-brain) did little to prepare Géralde Carpentier  [Libra, Scorpio rising, moon in Aquarius] for a twenty-five year career as a corporate executive (left-brain). The common thread in her rich and tumultuous life is her passion for that extraordinary experience we call Life, for personal growth, and for a connection with powerful subtle energies, passions that led her to Tantra.

Together they lead « the Loving Spirit » workshop, a transformational experience for couples who want to create deeper, richer, more intimate relationships.  Over the course of three full days, Jeff and Geraldine teach dozens of techniques, exercises, and activities that help couples overcome disharmony in order to create relationships where true intimacy (physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual) is the goal and the outcome.  Over the past ten years, primarily in Europe, « the Loving Spirit » workshop has helped hundred of couples rekindle love and respect in their relationships.

Many Americans fall into the category referred to by Jim as the "functionally ill" which is described by Jim as those individuals who follow no particular food guidelines.  We simply eat what is considered to be the Standard American Diet.  Our habitual style of food consumption leads us into a slow and progressive decline in our health status and degenerative diseases. 

TV advertises countless prescription solutions for health related disorders.  Marketers encourage the use of drugs for pain and arthritic problems, acid indigestion or reflux conditions, elevated cholesterol and inflammation.  We see numerous commercials hosted by celebrities promoting weight loss products, digestive aids and more. Millions of dollars are spent on marketing these substances, because, as Americans, we eat the Standard American Diet and as a result, we have health issues.  We take drugs to mask our nutritional deficiencies which are expressed as symptoms. 

Fat is an essential body building block yet, in the media, we are exposed to statements about the need for fat restrictions and fat free foods. In the meantime, we watch America getting fatter and less healthy with more lives suffering from stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and other degenerative diseases.    Natural or Alternative Health Care has long understood that “Good Nutrition Equals Great Health".  Given the proper raw materials, our body has the innate capability to heal itself.

Michael Boyer L.Ac. has spent over 20 years honing his skills in the healing arts. An early passion for yoga and shiatsu massage served as a springboard into the field of Chinese Medicine and, in 1995, Michael graduated from Oakland’s Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences with a Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The past fifteen years has found Michael treating thousands of patients from every walk of life and for a vast array of conditions. In addition to his invaluable experience in internal medicine, women’s health, pain management, and cosmetic acupuncture, Michael has garnered a special reputation in sports’ medicine; working with Olympic gold medalists, professional athletes, sports’ teams, and ballet companies.

His expertise is as respected by the academics as it is by his patients. As a past faculty member at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, Michael has worked as a professor of acupuncture, ethics, and practice management. He is also an item writer and examiner for NCCAOM’s national certification examination and the author of two books about Chinese herbs and formulas.

Michael Boyer, L.Ac. is board certified and licensed by the state of California in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He is also certified by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a member of the California State Oriental Medical Association (www.csomaonline.org).

Nancy Yeager is teaching and starting classes at the Enlightened Path Center in Palm Desert in creative writing, journaling and poetry.  Nancy shows you how the creative process heals and leads to a connection with the higher self though essential expression, self actualization, insight and clarity.  The exploration of poetry and literature discloses the universal nature of our journey and can expand our perception of it which yields a broader, more compassionate worldview. 

Before moving to the desert, Nancy spent 11 years teaching secondary English and gifted students in Pennsylvania.  Raised in a large family on ample doses of chaos and love, she learned early in life that sharing and communication are essential skills and has been voraciously reading and writing ever since.  Although Nancy often chooses the solace of the fictional realm, she often looks to the Tao Te Ching, Toltec Wisdom, and great writers and poets to keep her on the right path. 

Nancy has been selected to Who's Who Among American Women, Who's Who Among American teachers and National Honor Roll's Outstanding American Teachers.  She lives in La Quinta and sustains herself on a diet infused with large doses of sunshine, tea, dark chocolate and poetry.  She has also published prize writing fiction/poetry since 1972 and assisted students in the publication of their own work, including three books of poetry.

 

Pathways To Wellness provides a unique bridge between traditional and alternative medicine along with a holistic health counseling approach to wellness and life coaching for improving mind, body, soul and spirit of their clients. The
combined focus is on the whole person to improve overall health and sense of
well being.

Patty and Claire created Pathways To Wellness with their combined professional backgrounds in medicine, mental health, counseling, spirituality and advocacy to bring their blended experiences to address the specific needs of individuals from
a holistic health perspective.

Claire is a traditionally trained Physician,having graduated from the University of Arizona Medical School, and practicing Medicine in California for over 25 years. Through Pathways To Wellness, she provides Alternative Medical solutions with
nutritional advice, second opinions and alternative solutions to health issues including chronic pain. She has given small group and major meeting seminars
regarding health issues and is dedicated to her commitment of improving the holistic wellness of her clients.

Patty holds a B.A. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology with areas of concentration in family and marriage counseling and holistic health counseling from Hawaii Pacific University and Antioch University. As a Life Coach and Mediator, working with individuals, couples, groups and corporations she focuses on relationship and
communication building, stress reduction, loss and grief and life transitions. She has conducted workshops, classes and support groups locally and throughout the United States and the Pacific. She is dedicated to and passionate about
working with people who want to live their best life; one sprinkled with joy, meaning and an enhanced sense of well-being for Mind, Body, Soul, Spirit.

As an experienced professional in the mental health and patient advocate fields for
over 30 years and as a Wellness and Life Coach, she directs her professional
and personal commitments to the service of wellness building for the Mind/Body/
Soul Connection.

Stephen Roy Parker has spent the last 6 years refining his understanding and skills in the practice and instruction of ThetaHealing and is considered one of the top instructors in the world. He has also studied Chi Gong, NLP, Depth Psychology, Internal and External Martial Arts, the Mythopoetic Mens Movement, Psychic Development, Energy Healing and Bowen Therapy. Stephen is also an Intuitive Anatomy and Rainbow Children’s Instructor as well as being a DNA3 Graduate in ThetaHealing from the ThetaHealing Institute of Knowledge. He attended the University of Alberta business program and has owned and/or operated several small and medium size businesses.
